Anna Lee with no crown & hair conditioner

Just a quick shot of how pretty Anna Lee looked yesterday while we were waiting for Sara at swim team when she was actually at home.
(YES I GET THE SCHEDULE SCREWED UP, occasionally)
I started using hair conditioner on her. Her hair is much less tangly now.

Apparently she

Not sure why.

Drove to Biloxi for the weekend.
Sara sketched and Anna Lee crashed.

Dinner recreation

I don't know why someone has not thought of this sooner. A seriously cool idea.

We went to dinner at Carrabas for Mother's Day.
The waiter brought PLAY DOUGH for the girls to play with.
On a little plate.
Homemade play dough.
He said he would even throw their creations in the oven and bake them, if they desired.
Needless to say, they were entertained.





And who knew that Gumby had a thing for Polly Pocket?

Mother's Day breakfast

I had to stay in the bedroom until my "surprise."

I asked Anna Lee to get me some more milk for my coffee. She came struggling in with the whole gallon. Sara made pancakes from scratch by herself. Impressive! The girls climbed into bed to eat with me. It was great.

Curly Top

Starting to see some curl in Anna Lee's hair, especially on humid days.
Waiting to see if it becomes wavy, like Sara's , more wavy, like mine, or ringlets, like Ronnie.

Vintage book find

Got it for 25 cents.

All Anna Lee wants to read is books about Princesses.
So, last night I made a pile of vintage books that I want to read to her and I pile of Princess books. We made a deal. One book from each pile.
Last night was Sleeping Beauty and Harold and the Purple Crayon.

Soccer trophy

I know I have issues. I SERIOUSLY spoil & indulge my kids.

I bough and painted a special trophy for Anna Lee because I knew the crappy one from the Y was not going to make her happy.
I think it came out cool.
She loved it.

Buying Daddy a present

Remember how we collected acorns for Daddy's birthday present?
Well, I thought we should get a bowl.
Had Anna Lee get some money out of her piggy bank and "pay" the cashier.
It was precious.

Tricycle ride

Took a ride down to Grandma's house last night.
Notice the fairy wings and pink sparkly purse.

Bubbles

Dropped by Ron's office picnic after ballet on Saturday. Anna Lee LOVED the bubbles.
Had another retainer incident. Long story short - had to go through trash in the dumpster. 14 year old ended up crying. It was gross, but priceless. DID NOT have to spend $300 for new ones.
Lesson learned?
Probably not...

I wish I had taken pictures of the retainer retrieval..

P.S. Anna Lee also acquired a princess ring somewhere along the way, which she subsequently dropped in the potty after peeing in it. Yea, I got it out. Thank God for anti-bacterial soap.

Princess shoes

There are 2 more pairs not in the picture, a pair of pink leather T-straps that have mysteriously disappeared and a pair of white leather sandals that just arrived from eBay.

Swim Team Banquet

Sara would not even sit with me. Hung out with her friend Paul. I find it interesting that she is friends with a male and that she is friends with one of a the 4 non-white people on the team.

Anna Lee colored the whole time. She is becoming quite an artist. She tasted and liked carrot cake - go figure!
