Cat in the Pool

Yesterday morning, a neighborhood cat fell in the pool when it jumped to try to catch a bird. I have never seen anything move as fast as that cat getting out of the water.
The pool is cursed.

Why does jumping on the trampoline generate static electricity?

Ballet Recital

Anna Lee had a ballet "recital" on Saturday, since her class did not participate in the Spring Recital (too young). The parents just sat in the studio and observed. The kids got to put on special costumes. It was hysterical and adorable.
I think Lee Lee got the coolest dress, although I'm shocked it was not pink.

The last picture is when they had to pretend they were "sleeping princesses."

Incidentally, the child in the green dress had an accident right in the middle. Yea, that kind of accident... That is why she is not very happy.

Good question

Why does Frog & Toad doesn't have shoes on?
One of many questions from Anna Lee Crowe yesterday. Actually, that IS a good question. They are animals, but wear clothes - no shoes (or shirts). Why?

It's all about the Equipment

Got Anna Lee a T-ball bat, balls, and a "bat backpack" yesterday. She was so excited.
Had to get a purple bat, Sports Authority did not have any pink ones...
The backpack has a special slot for the bat, no more huge bat bags that are bigger than your child - what will they come up with next?

Playground

Ron took Anna Lee to practice T-Ball yesterday. She was more interested in the playground.
She has been wearing a dress everyday.

Remember, "Shorts are for boys."

I bought a pink lefty mitt for her today.

Semper Ago Tuus Optimus

Do I really need to say how great Sara was?

She was.
We are so proud.
She was beautiful. And poised. And confident.
The Torah portion was flawless.

This is the "family motto" that was Ron was talking about in his speech. He had it embroidered on her swim bag and she took a picture of it with her phone and is using it as a screen saver.

We had so much fun with our friends and family and Chef Michael surpassed our expectations.
Thanks to all for coming.
Glad it is over!

Maybe I can work on my kitchen now...

Grandfaadder

Anna Lee finally slowed down enough to warm up to Dad after the long Bat Mitzvah weekend.
She calls him Grandfather, but it sounds more like "Grandfaadder"

Notice the juice spills on her clothes and band aid on each index finger.
