Princess Party

Anna Lee got invited to a fancy Birthday Party. It was at the Country Club. All the girls dressed up. There was make up, boas, ballerinas.... Every little girl's fantasy.
Even Sara was jealous.

How do I live up to this, come November???

Can't be still

Got Anna Lee's school group picture. Who is the only one up out of her chair, messy hair, teacher's hand on her shoulder? My rascal - all the way on the right.

Glad I paid 20 bucks to document her naughtiness...
But look at those cool girl pants!

No Easter pictures ... yet

I left my digital camera at work, so no next day photos of Easter.
I couldn't even find a roll of film or batteries for the film camera, so I got stuck using a disposable. It is at the lab right now.

2 cute things to share:

1. I had Sara drop off checks for swim team on Monday.
I was giving her instructions

Me: "This one is for swim fees and goes to the front desk lady, this one is for escrow and goes in the Treasurer's folder."

Sara: "You mean S. Crowe? Like my name?"

2. Anna Lee gave me a fit yesterday morning because the pink jacket was in the wash and she had to wear the purple jacket. When I went to pick her up from school, there was no purple jacket anywhere - not on her hook, not in her bag. Where did I find it? Stuffed in the bottom of the lost & found bin. I could tell by her face that she had put it there herself. Smart!

Swimming at the Y

Got a surprise 1/2 day off for good Friday, so Ron & I took Anna Lee to the Bell Road Y indoor pool. They have a huge shallow pool for babies. Not sure where the orange goggles came from... perhaps the, um, lost and found?
I packed everything, but... my suit. So, I had to watch, and take pictures with my cell phone.

Coloring on the Walls

I went to put Anna Lee to bed last night and noticed... Pencil marks all over the wall.
I made her clean it up with the "Magic Eraser", which is the best invention in the world.

Pencil marks on my custom painted wall that Sara and I slaved over.

Anna Lee cleaning marks.

See? All clean.

Pretending the Magic Eraser is a telephone.

Purim

Kids just loved getting dresses up. Sara was a Gypsy. Anna Lee was.... a Princess?

Life without Sara

Was crappy because:

1. I missed her
2. I had to do the dishes
3. I had to gather up the laundry and sort it
4. No built in babysitter
5. I missed her
6. I worried about her
6. Did I say I missed her?
7. No one to yell at

Was great because:

1. Did not have to pick anyone up from swim team Friday night
2. Did not have to get up early Saturday morning to go to swim team
3. Less food to prepare

Play Doh 3

Anna Lee and Daddy playing "gingerbread man" with Play Doh.
The watch worn above the elbow is a new thing. I think she stole it from a boy at school... or got it out of the lost and found.

Riding Mower

Helping Daddy mow Buddy's yard.

Sandbox

Spring is here, time to play outside.
She has been wearing the pink baseball hat (backwards) every day since we got it.
I got the sandbox for Sara at about the same age. It is a thousand years old, has traveled to every house and even lived in the attic for a while in Memphis.

Ever diligent

I was still looking for ethnic names, even as I rushed through the Atlanta airport.

What do you suppose Binebeb's country of origin is?

Priceless

Ticket from Atlanta to Ft. Lauderdale: $233
Adding unaccompanied minor status: $50
Dress: $18
Jacket: $10
Shoes: $30
Half a tank of diesel at close to $4 per gallon: $22
3 T-shirts because "it is HOT in Florida": $25
Baseball hat for Baby because we can't buy Sissy something and not her: $5.50
Drinks at pee-pee stop in nasty gas station: $4
Candy bars and drinks in Airport as lunch alternative because plane is about to leave: $7.22
Sandwich in Airport with Baby after Sara leaves: $4.75
Airport parking: $4

Total: $413.47

Sending Sara to Jessie's Bat Mitzvah: priceless

Baseball hat

Do you like the crappy necklace I was forced to buy at Walmart, under threat of toddler meltdown? Classy! You too could own one, plus 3 crappy rings that keep falling off, for the low low price of $3.86.

Stopped in Tigertown to get Sara some T-shirts at Old Navy before her trip.
Anna Lee insisted on getting a hat.
She put it on backwards by herself and wore it all day that way. That's my girl!

When Daddy picks out your outfit

It does not match.
Purple and green shirt, red pants, pink shoes, pink hairbow...
Nice.
Sara got Dr. Brown's cream soda. My favorite.

You know you are grown up when....

Don't read this if you have a dog or are a pet lover...

I took Anna Lee to Ballet this morning and met Ron at Starbucks. The first words out of his mouth? no, not "Hi" or "I love you"... "We have a dead dog in our pool."

What?

What do you do?
Who do you call?
How do you dispose of it?
Who do you notify?
What about the owners?

My stud husband took care of the whole thing. Thank God for men. Very Icky.

Sara wanted to bury it.
Wouldn't it smell as the body decomposed?
The sanitation department came and got it.
I have lots of guilt.

There better not be signs for a missing dog posted in the neighborhood tomorrow.

Purple Velvet Jacket

On my way to Temple, wearing the purple velvet jacket from my cousin Zoe.

Blueberry Feast

NO, It didn't all wash off! Guess we'll have to let it wear off...
Do you like the ballerina outfit? Sometimes we have to go out in public dressed like this.
