Anna Lee started soccer last week. First practice was yesterday. She was not very happy to go, since I had to wake her up from a warm, cozy nap. All she cared about was wearing the green jersey. I tried to explain that it was just for game days, not practice. I gave up. I am helping out. Assistant coach?

Getting out of Starbucks under $10
Purim
Sara was a newspaper boy. Anna Lee was.... a princess?
I bought Anna Lee some play shoes (see them on the floor). I have been fighting getting these for a long time - they look so tacky and dangerous - but she absolutely LOVED them and could walk in them no problem. Got blue Cinderella ones, too. $4 Big Lots. I love Big Lots.

Chili cook-off
Our friend was a participant in a chili cook-off this weekend. It was beautiful out, so we took out the baby jogger and enjoyed downtown for an hour. They even had face painting and bouncy rides for Anna Lee. Sorry to say, the teenager was punished and could not go - due to retainer issues.
P.S. I had venison chili! It was good.

Snow in Alabama
Would have posted these sooner, but my camera would not give them up to my office computer for some reason. Anyway, we got a bit of snow Sunday morning. They canceled Sunday School and everything. The girls just wanted to make a snowman and toss a few snowballs, then get inside for some hot cocoa. Ron would not even venture outside.

Anna Lee not happy about the wind and cold. Such a southern girl! I didn't even have time to find matching mittens - afraid it would all melt...
