Baby Imelda

Anna Lee has the best shoes in the house.
Wonder where shoe gets the love of shoes from? (hint : Ingi)

Fellini's Pizza

Went for Pizza after the puppet show (see below). For some reason, we have no good pizza in Montgomery. This was awesome. Big pitcher of draft beer. Real cheese, real sauce, fresh toppings. They give you a cool retro post card when you order - that is how they find your table.

Puppet show

Took the kids to a puppet show in Atlanta before dropping Sara at the airport.
They had the cat puppet and costumes from Sabrina the Teenage Witch on display. Sara enjoyed that. The Build a Puppet Workshop after the show was great. We made elephant shadow puppets.

Franken-Pets

Took the kids to the "Summer Art Sampler" at the Museum of Fine Arts last night.
We had dinner and they got to do some activities. One of the activities was to create a "Frankenpet", which consisted of sewing the head from one stuffed animal on to the body of another. Anna Lee did not like it at first, but was ok with it after a while. I made Cookie Monster on ET's body, Sara made a dog, Anna Lee and Rachael made a monkey with a teddy bear head.
It was a little creepy...
Anyway, here are pics.

No Nap?

I suspect Anna Lee did not take a nap yesterday. She fell asleep before we got home from a rained out T-Ball game. I carried her in and undressed her - she did not move until this morning at 7:00 am.

T Ball !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first few pictures are the 1st game. Then, I got white britches, a red belt, and red striped socks. She looks so cool!
She made friends with a little boy named Holton already.
We had a major meltdown last week because she wanted to wear a pink hat.

"Red is not my favorite color"

The hat is way too big. The mitt is huge. She is not even supposed to play until she is 4...

Broadway Dance class

Sara took a few classes at AUM last week. She particularly liked the Broadway Dance class. They put on a little production for us Friday from Hairspray. It was cute. Her friend Danny from swim team was in the class, too.

Blue Pool

Happy Father's Day!

Ron took the baby in the pool last night.
We are so happy the pool is now blue. (not green)
Ron has been working super hard to fix leaks, clean, and re-fill the pool. Last night was the first chance we got to use it.
Anna Lee loved it.

Help me Mr. Clean

I hope the Magic Eraser comes to the rescue this time. Seems that Anna Lee ran out of space on her paper. There was a Magic Eraser video contest, which I'm quite sure I would have won, had I known about it in time...
Sure am glad I paid a fortune to re-finish the hardwood.

Goodbye friends

It is time.
SOB.
I have to retire my Bass Weejuns.

Not only are the soles shot, but the leather is cracking and the right shoe is split up the back.
They have been re-soled 5-6 times.

My twin bought them for me.
How long ago?
You will never believe it...
I know it was before Ron & I met.
I think they are 15 years old. Yes 15.

Why not just buy a new pair, you ask.
I hate to say it - "They just don't make them like that anymore"
They don't.
All the soles on new shoes are made of flexible rubber-like material. No structure. No support. They don't last.
Plus, it is impossible to find shoes in Montgomery. IT IS!

I think I have to go visit my Twin in Florida. For a shoe shopping trip.

I had to buy them

It is really not fair to create such adorable stuffed animals out of book characters. How could I NOT buy Frog & Toad. I almost bought Runaway Bunny and the Very Hungry Caterpillar. I had to stop myself. We had fun acting out Frog & Toad stories, although it was a bit difficult, since Anna Lee can't read yet - I had to whisper her parts to her.

Why is Toad smaller than frog? Are toads smaller than frogs?

They still have no shoes...

That don't work too good

I just said that.
At lunch.
To someone in Walmart.

Argggggh!

What is wrong with me?

Have I been in Alabama too long?
I need to get away.

HELP.
