Funky shot

That's Ron holding Anna Lee up to the monkey bars.
It was dusk with no flash on my cell phone camera. I think it looks cool.

Cocoa cup

Finally got my cell phone to give up some photos.

Here is a shot of Anna Lee at Target picking out her cup for cocoa, pj's and a movie treat at school.

Ethic name candidate?

Radio Flyer Concept wagon

Ooooohhhh. Do you think Anna Lee Crowe would like one?

How many blankets does a Polly Pocket need?

This is why I can NEVER find a baby washcloth.

12. in case you are wondering. and one Daddy handkerchief.

Sleeping Beauty dress

Apparently, Anna Lee wore this dress at her friend Caroline's house and had to have one. I thought she was going to come out of the shopping cart when we passed it in the toy aisles at Target. So, like any good Mommy, I went back and got it. She has wore it all day yesterday and had it on first thing this morning.

Christmas cooking

This is my new favorite toy. Vintage apple peeler, corer, slicer. Thrift store $2.00.

The girls thought it was cool, too.

6 apples in under 5 minutes. Peeled, sliced, cored.

Apple pie with crumb topping. Yum. Forgot the ice cream, though :(

The famous tart. This took 2 days. Had to make the macaroons from scratch. None to be found in Montgomery, AL. I hid the leftovers in the 2nd fridge. Hope there is some left when I get home tonight...

Christmas Crafts

Sara & I have been working on recycling cardboard food boxes into a matching card game for Anna Lee for months. To my great disappointment, she was not very interested when she opened it. Maybe after all the excitement over the Sleeping Beauty dress is over (more later about the dress) ...

Pine cone ornaments. Sara heard that if you soak them in water, they close up... so we soaked them in water, thinking that it would be so much easier to apply the glue and glitter... Well it has been 3 days now and they haven't opened back up! Sara says they look like glitter turds. Oh well, you may be getting some glitter turds for Christmas.

Snow globe soap with peppermint scent. Much more impressive in person.

Stupid Paint jobs

See new blog section - "notch above which cost more - rims or car" (right hand side of page)

Ok,

I really don't get it.

I like my Mountain Dew and Vault, Ron loves his Alma Mater, but we would never PAINT THE WHOLE FREAKING CAR to announce our love.

Let alone spell stuff wrong (see Mountain Dew car - "Whut it Dew").

Doesn't that kind of paint job cost a lot? Can they not find something better to do with the money? Like live in a better house? Or give Baby Momma some money?

Thanks to Ingi for the photos.

Please comment away.

P.S. Why is the theme often a food or drink?

Channukah sneak peek

Polar Express

A friend of Anna Lee's invited us to go on the Polar Express train in Calera, about an hour away from Montgomery. The girls had so much fun.

There was a ton of kids, all in their PJ's (except for the princess). Some of the parents even had PJ's on. I haven't read the book, so I lost a little of the ritual... but there was a lot of singing and eating cookies and milk and looking for Santa.

Sorry Eric, I did not take an actual train picture. But there is a train museum. More incentive for you to visit!

I imagine that swinging on the tent poles was more fun than the train ride...

Elves brought cookies and milk.

I'm not so sure...

We even got an ornament!

Homemade Pralines

Have made these for teachers a few times. Sara helped, up until I criticized her cutting skills, then copped out and went to bed. (What? I am a perfectionist!)

I DID let her lick the spoon and pot.

Crazy Busy Weekend

Took Anna Lee to Temple on Friday night to see one her "boyfriends".
Services & Torah study Saturday am, Anna Lee to ballet.
Playhouse Disney Live Matinee, then Ron & I went to Tuscaloosa to see the Aggies play basketball. Fantastic dinner downtown at Epiphany.
Sunday School in the morning, followed by A Christmas Carol Musical with Sara & a friend while Anna Lee had a playdate.

Top it all off with an asthma attack and a flat tire Sunday night!

Sleepy

Just had to take these shots of Anna Lee this morning. She was so sweet cuddled in her bed. I bought her all new bedding for Channukah (very PINK).

1. Pink flannel gingham sheets. (Ebay)
with a "fitted at the bottom" top sheet. The top sheet was a new concept for her. It took some getting used to.

2. Pink wool trader blanket. (Ebay)
She hates it. "it's scratchy". But it keeps her cozy and warm. I got a twin size so she can use it when she grows out of the floor bed (not too much longer, Waaaaaa!).

3. Pink Pottery Barn comforter and sham. (Ebay)
